About the author
K.A. Brown
K.A. Brown is a Connecticut native and the author of the Derrick Driver thriller series. Before becoming a novelist, he served as a career firefighter for 26 years, retiring at the rank of lieutenant.
His years in the fire service gave him firsthand insight into how ordinary people respond when confronted by tragedy, danger, and extraordinary circumstances. Brown draws on those experiences to create realistic characters, authentic emotional reactions, and reluctant heroes who must make difficult choices under pressure.
His Derrick Driver series begins with Programmed to Win and continues with The Cost of Killing. The third novel, The Four Kings, is coming soon, with more thrillers planned. Through political intrigue, hidden agendas, emerging threats, and personal consequences, Brown delivers suspense driven by a simple promise: a reluctant hero facing unimaginable threats.
